I regard myself as kind and caring, empathetic and thoughtful, yet still there are a mountain of things I would like to change about myself . I often ask people if they could go back to a certain age, what would they change? What would you change? See it really is a butterfly effect in the decisions that we make that lead us into the people we are today. I would change so many things but in those changes would I actually lose things that I cherish most now like: my children, their children, my friends and family. Most of all, the way I love. The way I look at the world and my people in it.
I am a strong believer that anything happens for a reason. I may not like certain things that I have had to endure in my life and I can most certainly say I wouldn’t like to relive certain situations but it was all character building. Through the wrongs that have been done to me I have learnt forgiveness. I have also learnt to choose your battles wisely for somethings are really not worth a second thought. Without negativity you can not learn and appreciate the wonderful things that life has to offer. Through my greatest torments came inspiration to write. There is something positive in everything. So in a nut shell, I am ever the optimist.
I am not sure who will read this, and really I don’t mind if no one does and I’ll tell you why. Yesterday I connected with a woman that is deaf. She made a small request to have lyrics of a song that she likes sent to her. Immediately I wanted to help her but I am being honest when I say I wondered how she knew of the song in the first place if she can’t hear it. She is a kind soul that is grateful for life. She is also a writer. So I could identify with her need to express herself as I do. Now I am not pretending to compare my problems with her but I read her blog today about writing for herself. Previously I put my work out there and would be disheartened at not having the audience I had hoped for. But after reading her blog I was reminded how much I get from writing, not from anyone else’s appreciation but my own. See, I want to inspire people to achieve a better form of themselves, for them to know they can achieve their own goals if they want but today I was inspired, by a woman named Sharon that wanted lyrics to song she can’t even listen to. She doesn’t ask for much but today gave me so much to be grateful for. It’s the small things.
I don’t want money, fame and material things. I want to see my boys grow into themselves as good men. I want to feel the contentment of those I love. Once then and only then will I be content myself.
Choose love and kindness over anything else. nothing else compares.

I must voice my respect for your kindness supporting persons who actually need help with in this situation. Your special commitment to passing the message all through has been exceptionally advantageous and has regularly helped workers much like me to get to their goals. This valuable advice implies a whole lot a person like me and far more to my mates. Thanks a lot; from everyone of us. Cherie Martin Wilkie
